Meet Lulu, named for Lou Dean who was there for her to come to when she needed someone to take her in. She is timid, she must not have been treated the way she deserves to be. But with Lou's patience and everyone working with her letting her know that we care, she is coming along with trusting people.

Lulu tested negative for heartworms, has had her rabies and first DHLPP. She weighs 30 pounds, and that is several pounds more than when Lou found her, she was pretty thin then. She is about 8 months old, and will not get much bigger, whatever the second breed is must be a small-medium size.

Lulu is very smart, she is learning new things each day. She is still getting used to the leash, so she needs lots of patience with that. She is crate trained, she stays in one at night. She does seem to find the moles before they have a chance to dig a hole out of the ground, so she may be easily trained for some kind of search job. Lulu does have the hereditary Demodectic Mange (Demodex), is it NOT contagious to people or other pets. She will be dipped two times, and won't need another dip unless she "breaks out with it" again later. Stress can bring that on, so as long as she can stay calm, it shouldn't be a problem.
